Objective:

Insight into the importance of Supply Chain Management and the interfaces between four angles: category management, e-commerce, efficient replenishment upstream (ERU) and advanced planning systems (APS).

Content:

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is recognized as an important discipline, but in many organizations not enough attention is being paid to it yet. SCM is a hard to grasp area. Although logistics is an important part of it, SCM also includes purchase, production, sales and marketing and touches other organizations in the chain. It gets harder and harder for organizations to meet the changing customer and buyers demands. Downstream and upstream collaboration in a chain is the next logical step within logistics. This collaboration, the strategic value of Supply Chain Management and ‘How can you measure and improve Supply Chain’s performance?’, are just a few subject that are covered in this training.

Logistical aspects, that are relevant in the relations with buyers and suppliers, are deepened in this training. Furthermore, you will get insight into the added value of logistics within each phase of the supply chain.

Result:
After the training you are able to recognize the importance of Supply Chain Management and the cohesion and relations within each phase of the supply chain.

Prerequisites:

Executives, planners, supply chain professionals, managers business office that have to do with collaboration in a chain and need to have targeted knowledge of logistics and flow of goods within chains. You need to have a prior education at Dutch MBO-4 level, either through education and/or by work experience. Some years experience with logistical processes is an advantage.
