Objective:

Develop an understanding of how to identify and eliminate waste, whereby some basic assumptions are important:

Waste affects value in the process;
Adding value is a process;
A perfect process has no waste.

The Lean focuses on processes that are value added to the customer. These aspects are explained and experienced in this training on the basis of theory, exercises and a game form which will be further clarified. The objective of the training is to familiarize participants with the basic principles of Lean and understand how Lean tools can be used in practice.

Content:

The Lean Yellow Belt training is an ‘awareness’ training to set the first step towards Lean. Lean is an improvement method which concentrates on maximizing the flow towards the customer and focuses on revealing and eliminating waste. Within organizations it is important that everything is accommodated and to manage people and systems in such a way that a continuous value stream is delivered towards the customers and whereby waste and errors are eliminated within a process.

Programme
The following topics are covered within the training:

Definitions and basic principles of Lean;
Concept of value;
8 forms of waste;
Get to know the ‘Muda Walk’, also called as ‘Waste Hunting’;
Kaizen 5S
Lean Game

Result
Understanding what value adding accepts within the process from a customer perspective, and how to apply it within the organization.

After the training:

You know what Lean is and which instruments be of importance;
You are able to recognize the possibilities of Lean in your own organization;
You know the success factors and challenges to the implementation of Lean;
You take specific ideas for improvement with you towards your organization.

Prerequisites:

Executives and employees who want to deliver more quality towards the customer and whereby the focus lies on continuous improvement, eliminating waste and improving the flow. To summarize, for everyone who is direct or indirect involved in the optimization of the lean management on the workplace.
