Objective:

After this training you are able analyze and solve (production) problems efficiently and structured. This results in better process performances and higher product capability. Which meets lower costs and higher customer satisfaction. Additionally, you are able to create a valuable qualitative and qualitative analysis of the business processes, and together with the involved employees in the improvement project, eliminate non-value added actions and activities.

Content:

The Lean Green Belt training will deepen into the qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques from Lean. Participants learn how to apply these techniques according to several challenging case studies and training material. How to create a current situation into an ideal situation wherein (nearly) all steps are values added, will be extensively discussed in this training.
After this training, participants are able to lead (assist) an organization towards continuous improvement with Lean. They are trained to provide and supervise a Kaizen training within the organization, or by customers.

Programme
The training consists out of 4 blocks wherein de following topics are covered:

Block 1: Introduction and basic principles of Lean

Definitions and basic principles of Lean;
Concept of value (customer value and value stream, flow, push, pull);
'Outside' thinking;
8 forms of waste;
The Lean house.

Block 2: tools and terms

The 6-steps method;
VSM (Value Stream Mapping);
Brown paper;
Flowchart/ process analysis;
Kipling questions (6-W-questions);
5 why's;
Ishikawa diagram;
Pareto analysis;
Data division;
Alignment analysis.

Block 3: Lean organization

Lean leadership;
Lean Performance Behaviour;
Lean culture;
Successful changes;
Assurance & grow.

Block 4: Lean in practice

Kaizen 'continuous improvement'/ PDCA;
5S workplace organization;
A3 management;
Pragmatic approaches for improvement potentials.

Result

You know what Lean is and what not, and what techniques are used;
You are able to recognize the possibilities of Lean into your own organization and can translate this into a specific plan;
You are capable to analyse and solve production problems efficient and structured;
You know the success factors and challenges to the implementation of Lean;
You know how to create a valuable qualitative and qualitative analysis of business processes;
You are able to eliminate non-value added actions and activities, together with the involved employees in the improvement project;
You take specific ideas for improvement with you towards your organization.

Prerequisites:

The training is opportune to managers, project leaders, project managers, process engineers and process improvers who apply Lean in their organization or about to consider it. By a combination of knowledge, expertise and analysis, Green Belts are (future) specialists who work project-based and structured on process improvements within the organization.
